Unlocking Housing Supply and Homeownership Through the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act

A shortage of millions of single-family homes and rising housing costs have pushed homeownership out of reach for many first-time buyers, and as the existing housing stock ages, many lower income homeowners cannot afford to finance critically needed repairs.

On April 16, 2026, the Neighborhood Homes Coalition hosted a public webinar exploring how the bipartisan Neighborhood Homes Investment Act would boost the supply of affordable homes and increase homeownership in communities that need it most.
